This historic comic is a real find in decent shape, and especially with such a bright glossy appearance.  It contains clean bone white pages, with no dog-ears, or any other signs of use.  This copy is complete, flat, and intact; It's all here, fresh and very presentable and supple, with exceptional bright colors and heavy gloss, with no severe problems.  Upon closer examination, some minor edge flaws and surface indentations can be detected along with some mild corner creasing.  Adding charm, there is an old store stamp at the top edge of the back cover, from "Comics and Comix", an iconic shop in Berkeley, CA.  See the enlarged scan, which shows the condition well.

 This is a great item to have, especially if you like horror comics or #1 issues from the bronze-age.  A lot has happened with comics in the past few decades since this book came out, adding more interest to the elusive collector issues such as this;  so I don't suggest waiting around until these historic books evaporate even further.  This would be a great addition to most fan's collections.  Specimens of this issue are always in demand, but are not always available in the market, in attractive shape like this!
