THERMAL REFLECTIVE HEAT SHIELD / INSULATION MAT
540 Degrees Celsius Radiant Temperature Rating
Designed to provide reflective thermal insulation and protection in areas exposed to high temperature variations by keeping the heat away and insulating within. A heat resistant outer skin, which is laminated to a woven glass fibre underside, makes this product durable, lightweight and easy to trim.
Capable of reflecting 90% and withstanding up to 540 degrees celsius radiant (non direct) heat, this product is suitable for shielding and insulating fire walls, hoods, body panels, cold air intake and other heat sensitive hardware. Quick and easy to trim with regular scissors, heat shield can be installed and fastened using thermal glue, silicone or ties - (Does not have self adhesive backing)
Note:
- Does not include installation instructions, materials or tools
- Not to be applied directly to any heat source including: exhaust pipes, mufflers or hot turbo pipes.
- For maximum efficiency, at least 25mm (1 inch) of airspace with some airflow, is required between heat source & heat shield. Not suitable for high temperature applications where there is both no moving air, and heat source is less than 1-inch from heat shield.
