Zone 2 satellite dishes are of a bigger size than Zone 1 dishes. The diameter of a Zone 2 dish is 60cm, this allows places like Scotland and Ireland to receive FreeSat or Sky as a Zone 1 dish wouldn’t pick up a good enough quality of a signal.
Zone 2 dishes also give you a better margin of signal loss against heavy weather.
Using a Zone 2 dish within the United Kingdom you will receive the best quality signal required in order to watch Sky or Freesat.
