Marine Boat Top Zippers, made in USA by YKK UV Rated

#10 Separating Zipper, Automatic Lock, Double Pull with Metal Slider.

#10---- Zippers are size # 10. Teeth measure 10mm wide when zipped together. Teeth are made from Delrin.  Delrin is a lightweight, low-friction, and wear-resistant plastic, made by DuPont. The total width of the zipper with the tape, when zipped together is about 1 1/2 inches wide.

Separating Zipper --- separates at one end. Like a Coat or Jacket would, or like a side curtain on a boat that could be taken off.

Automatic Lock--- it won't come unzipped where you stop zipping, middle or the end.

Double Pull Metal Slider-- they are corrosion resistant and stronger than the Plastic ones that break over time. There is one Slider that you can zip from either side", 2 pulls, (handles), not 2 sliders.

The COLOR is BLACK. If you are purchasing Zipper pulls to go with your zippers they are also BLACK. If you are purchasing Zipper Top Stops to go with your zippers they are Stainless Steel, won't rust!

These are mostly used in the Marine Industry; they are specially engineered for marine fabrications. These zippers are UV Rated; there are similar zippers that don’t have the UV rating.

Also used for other applications Auto, Boat, Tent, Recreation etc…. YKK is the leading zipper manufactured in the boat industry. They are strong and durable lasting a long time.

Tech info about these zippers::

        Vislon Separating zippers are extremely strong and lightweight and differ from conventional zippers, because the teeth are made from Delrin and the tape is polyester. Because of the unique properties of the Vislon zipper, it has a wide variety of industrial, consumer and military applications where environmental conditions reduce the effectiveness of metal zippers. The vislon zipper is corrosion resistant. The zipper is self lubricating and operates smoothly despite mud, sand, etc. The color is an integral part of the molding material, creating a finish that does not rub off, peel or chip. Has excellent resistance to heat (up o 360 degrees F) and cold to 60 degrees F below 0). Melts at 480 degrees F. Resistance to chemicals further extends the use for the Vislon Zipper beyond the scope of conventional metal zippers.
