A superb arrangement of Roe deer antlers with extras.

This is a great looking collection of Roe deer antlers mounted on a dark painted wooden shield.
There is one superb set of six point antlers, one set of four pointer and a two point head. Also mounted to the shield is a three point Roe antler cut lengthwise top to bottom, a cross section of antler either from a Red or Sika stag and a Gebirgsjäger (German Mountain Troops) cap edelweiss.

The six point head is almost symmetrical and a really good trophy. The antlers measure approx 24cm per side, have large and well formed coronets which join in the middle, have great pearling and are very nicely coloured.
The two smaller heads are equally as well coloured and are obviously smaller in size.

The antler cross sections are an interesting addition, a unique way to display them alongside the main trophies.

The metal Gebirgsjäger edelweiss is a genuine piece and also adds a nice touch to an already interesting display.
These badges generally retail at around £30 in militaria collecting circles.

I believe the antlers have been removed from the shield at some point and the latter repainted before being reattached by screws through the reverse and the other pieces with fine pins from the obverse.
