EGR Resticter for VOLVO C30, C70, S40, S80, V50, V70

Please read carefully and check with the pictures, and thanks for looking
.  Note this is for diesel only

This is made from 1.5 Laser cut 304 Stainless Steel.  It has been rumbled to make it smooth and give it an abraded surface, plus removes all sharp edges.
It gives a cleaner pickup at lower revs because it restricts the exhaust gas being recycled. If the EGR valve is playing up, then the improvement can be quite dramatic.   This plate has a hole in to prevent the warning coming on. Volvo's do have a problem with a warning coming on, if they are blocked fully. ( it says 'Engine System Service Required on the display). Fords have a problem being blocked fully on the odd car. Citroen's & Peugeot's do not seem to get any issue at all with being blocked fully, so no hole needed.
I list it without a hole in- Item numbers 110907922480 and 112073081836
This fits:
    VOLVO C30, C70, S40, S80,, V50, V70 which have the D4204T 1997cc 136HP 100KW diesel engine(pictured below)
Their engine codes can be DW10 BTED4 / RHR 136 PS (134 hp/100 kW) and DW10 BTED4 / RHF 140 PS (138 hp/103 kW). All with or without A DPF/FAP - Helps to lengthen the time between regeneration, as there is less soot to trap, so gets blocked slower.

It will also fit The PSA  DW10BTED4 2.0L 16 valve 1997cc (not DW10ATED4) engine only ( known as Duratorq in Fords), pictured in header pictures fitted in:
FORD  Focus, MK4 Mondeo,  C-max, S-Max,  Galaxy, Kuga,
   PEUGEOT 307, 308, 407, 3008, 5008, 607,
   CITROEN  C4, , C5  All with or without A DPF/FAP -
Volvo's that have the PSA  DW10BTED4 2.0L 16 valve engine

Helps to lengthen the time between regeneration, as there is less soot to trap, so gets blocked slower. Please note the info on Volvo's.

If the light was on before fitting the plate because the valve is stuck open, then the light may still come on, as the valve is monitored as to whether it is open or closed, via it's electrical connection. Unplugging it will not help, as that will most probably put it into limp mode. Fitting the plate should not put it into limp mode
PLEASE CHECK THAT IT IS THE  ENGINE IN THE PICTURES, as the later engine (Euro5) has a very different EGR system with a throttle body which is on the front of the engine under the inlet manifold, and the oil filler cap is on the left of the engine, not on the right as pictured. I do have them listed.

WILL NOT fit the 8 Valve engine( # 110934076443) or the 16 valve DW10ATED4 that has an Aluminium inlet manifold

Easy to fit blanking plate, fits between EGR valve and exhaust gas recirculate pipe and there is no need to remove EGR or recirculate pipe to fit, 10-15 minute job. Remove the engine cover ( pull to the front and up slightly) Just undo the two nuts( but not take of), pull the EGR pipe up, slip the plate in, and re-tighten the nuts. There is no gasket fitted from new. On some cars it can be very hard to get at- my 307 136 was a pig as it was about 200mm under the screen, but still only took me 10 minutes. Hence the slots.

Benefits of Restricting the EGR

   1.  Cleaner engine oil helping to give longer engine life.

   2.  Turbo spooling up quicker, and at lower revs

   3.  Prevents soot build up in intake manifold, and valve's, which will lower the power

   4.  Smoother drive

   5.  Less smoke, so will help it pass the MOT (UK)

   6.  DPF stays cleaner for longer

Will NOT fit 2.0 Mondeo  FORD ZSD engine with the EGR valve on the lower rear of the engine ( exhaust side) or the Transit FORD engine with the EGR valve on the lower rear or end of the engine above the gearbox, (item #' 110965139730 for these).
Also will NOT fit 2.0L Mondeo and Transits (FORD ZSD engine) with the EGR valve on the front of the engine, ( item # 110903465359).

Any Q please ask, happy to help

All plates are designed and researched by me in house over many years. I do not buy or have ever brought from other seller (most sellers are just engineering firms that have brought from each other-along with the repeated mistakes or Chinese drop shops), and have no idea about car engines, fault codes, and what can be causing them. I have been a mechanic for many years, and my number 4 son is also a trained mechanic of some years.
