One of the best pure action movies ever made, this rousing adventure recounts the true story of a small 18th-century regiment of British troops (including a very blue-blooded turn by a young Michael Caine) endlessly besieged by an seemingly unceasing number of fierce attackers. Although the basic premise has since been executed with more technical skill and panache (most notably by Aliens and Michael Mann's The Last of the Mohicans), it's unlikely that anything will ever top the utter spectacle and, above all, sheer unbelievable size of the combat scenes that almost wholly comprise the last half of this film. A gloriously exhilarating essential for anyone looking to get lost in the heat of cinematic battle, topped off with a healthy dose of gallows humor. Not to be missed. Richard Burton voiced the stirring narration. Zulu was followed by a slightly dry but still recommended prequel, Zulu Dawn

For a guy who spent his worklife in the motion picture business I must admit that I was sorely mistaken about information I had garnered through various sources. First, I heard it was distributed by Paramount and they apparently did not. I now know that it was recorded in LPCM 48hz.The cover picture threw me off, as well as it being distributed by Inspired Dist. Although I have only watched about 30 minutes, I have been completely satisfied so far. Your company has provided a great service to me as this a Great movie.I sincerely apoligize for being an uninformed "video pile"! Your response was quick and more than any service I expected when I opened the pkg. The cover picture freaked me out as it sort of looks somewhat unprofessional. I should not have judged the movie by it's cover. I will be pleased to do business with you in the future. Once again I am very sorry for my obvious fault. Thank You for your courtesey and superior help, I would give you 6 stars if possible however you will get the full 5 star rating from me. I feel like an idiot, and in return you shall recieve my most positive response.
