The emulator simulates that the seat
occupancy sensor (seat mat) works
correctly and that the seat is always
occupied. It sends to an airbag control
unit the same signal as that sent by seat
mat while a passenger is sitting.
The emulator is the diagnostic device to test correctness of car installation working and to make
sure that the error displayed on a dashboard is caused by a faulty seat occupancy sensor
Problem Appeared
Airbag warning light blinks 4-7 or 4-8 , diagnostic computer shows that the seat occupancy sensor is faulty.

- Turn the ignition off.
- Find the seat occupancy sensor plug under the passenger seat, which is located in the front side of the seat.
- Disconnect the mat plug and replace it with the emulator's plug.
- Turn the ignition on. If the warning light doesn't turn off automatically, it is needed to reset the code using diagnostic software.
