You are looking at Solid Oil Resistant Nitrile Rubber sheet (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Rubber - NBR) available in various sizes.(Thickness tolerances +/- 10%, Cut sheet size tolerances +/- 2%)

This is a good quality compound not to be confused with some Economy or Low Commercial grades; and contains between 20 and 30% Active Polymer, it is ideal for a wide variety of sealing, gasketing or craft requirements where general resistance to oils is required.

Nitrile or NBR, has good general resistance to oils, and moderate resitance to fuel, but care must be taken in prolonged exposure conditions as a grade with a higher acrylonitrile content may be more advisable. Please note if continual exposure to diesel, AVGAS, petrol or petrol fumes is required, this grade is not suitable. We do offer alternative grades, please contact us for details.

With the increasing use of Bio-Fuels, advice should be sought from us to ensure compatability.

NBR has good mechanical properties especially tensile strength, flexing, compression set and impermeability to gases.

It has moderate ageing properties and has good adhesion to metal characteristics.

Other sizes are available on request including strips up to 10 metres.

Care should be taken in selecting the most suitable material for each application. We do carry alternative grades of Nitrile including FDA grades and we also advertise Viton in another listing.

Advice is readily available but final responsibility rests with the customer.
