ORIGINAL painting/artwork from 1961 Buick sales brochure. This one of a kind collectible was obtained from the family of a former employee/artist of LaDriere Studios, Detroit, MI. La Driere was one of the lead studio's in the 1940's-60's in the production of artwork for automotive brochures (they even apparently had offices within GM as last photo shows, old address label). The item offered here for sale is the original painting used on page 7 of the 1961 Buick Sales Brochure (original brochure is included in price as well, painting/brochure page would look great framed up together). The piece measures 12” x 16.5” overall. The matted (visible area) measures 5.5” x 10.5”. Is is mounted on a heavy fiberboard type substrata. The rear has several stray markings “Buick”, “Le Sabre”, “Page 7” as well as a faint GM stamp “GENERAL MOTORS PHOTOGRAPHY No. X3695 Please Return When......”.  Photo 1 is of matted painting.  Photo 2 is with adjacent original brochure.  Photos 3 & 4 are of rear of mounting board.  Photos 5 & 6 are of the actual brochure (again, included).  Painting is in great shape- no noted flaws or even age wear (Mat shows a little wear from bumping around the closet last 50 years).  Detail is exquisite, almost hard to believe its not a photograph. See my other listings for more Original Artwork, adding daily (note: any brochure purchase travels free with painting purchase);
