U. S. P. R. R. Exp. & Survey Nez Perce Lithograph. This original historical tinted lithograph is marked: U.S.P.R.R. Exp. & Surverys-47th & 49th Parallels, General Report-Plate XXXIII., Stanley. Del, Sarony Major & Knapp, Lith. N.Y. and titled "Nez Perces." It shows a Nez Perce hunting party including women and children in a pine forest. They are in council with a white man, most likely Isaac Ingalls Stevens. The meeting with these Native Americans was in the Bitterroot Valley, Montana. c. 1860. The lithograph is in good condition with some age, stains and marks in the margins, binding holes in top margin. 8.5 x 11 inches overall.  Shipping is free only within the US.
