The Carrera was made famous by a great racing driver, the late Bruce Jennings, also known as "King Carrera", who absolutely slayed the astonished Corvette, Jaguar, MG, Austin, Triumph TR, Ferrari, Bentley, Studebaker, Rambler, Chevrolet, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Buick, and T-Bird Drivers in SCCA Sports Car racing in the 50's and 60's , until they had to put the little car into a different class!  Bruce became a friend of mine, and would buy about 10 of these giclee prints from me at Christmas time so he could sign them and give them to his buddies as gifts.  

I treasure one he returned signed for me!
