The R&G Exhaust Protectors is designed to fit in your preferred position on the exhaust muffler.
• Open the jubilee clip completely, so that it is no longer continuous.
• Place black rubber strip around the can, in the position where you intend to mount the Exhaust Protectors.
• Cut the rubber strip to size.
• Locate the jubilee clip around the strip.
• Check that the position of the Exhaust Protector is as required. Re-tighten the jubilee clip in order to secure the Exhaust Protector.
• Cut off excess part of the jubilee clip to make it safe and improve the look as required
Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that no part of the exhaust protector assembly fouls or comes into contact with other parts of the machine. Do not ride the motorcycle until this aspect has been verified and you have compressed the rear suspension (if appropriate to the design of the motorcycle) to test this thoroughly.
