Ford Mondeo Bonnet Release Cable Fix

We designed this patent pending high quality stainless steel bonnet release cable fix for the Ford Mondeo Mk4, S-max and Galaxy (beware of cheap inferior ebay copies of our design!).  The standard Ford part is made from galvanised steel which rusts and snaps very quicky (reports of failure in just a few years old and few 10's of thousands of miles is not uncommon!).  This stainless steel cable will not rust and snap!  Replacing the broken cable with the standard Ford part takes several hours and requires a lot of parts to be removed (Ford charge around £200) - this fix only require 2 plastic screws and 2 bolts to be removed.  You could change the release cable in just 15 minutes.

It is HIGHLY recommended to replace the cable BEFORE it snaps.  If the cable snaps with the bonnet shut it can cause a lot more work to open the bonnet before the cable can be replaced (requiring the lower covers to be removed and removing or bending the latch cover back out of the way to access the release pivot - we made a tool to help on the diesels).
