NOTE: There are many specific gas
heaters in the market, sometimes called garage, shop, or unit heaters.
Most use a fan time delay to control the PRE-PURGE sequence and COOLING DOWN
time.
The timing for ON & OFF varies from 1 to 110 sec.
Those timers differ from regular electric heat sequencers (even
though they look alike).
You may find some inexperienced sellers who offer a cheap electric heat sequencer for use in your gas heater as a delay timer - not very smart...
Fan time relays have a particular timing; they are made in
relatively small quantities for a specific brand/model and naturally cost a bit
more.
