This is part of a modular system & most parts are interchangeable between the C-Line & CBE systems. They are mainly used in leisure vehicles & boats etc. Being modular , there are many options as to the fitting method.

PLEASE NOTE! THE 12V SOCKET IS OF THE SMALLER HELLA TYPE. THESE ARE SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED AS A POWER SOCKET AND ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH CIGARETTE TYPE PLUGS! We do sell plugs that can be used in both type sockets with an adapter sleeve. If you do require a Cigarette type socket these are available from our ebay shop.

COMPATABILITY INFORMATION ON C-LINE & CBE SYSTEM

SAFETY	CIRCULAR BACK BOX	SURFACE MOUNT BACK BOX
One of the boxes/covers to the right should be used with the 13A socket below, if there is any risk of people or objects or adjacent wires etc touching the back of the socket.	Two views of round safety back box for use with 13A sockets. Cannot be used with Standard C-Line frame & spacer!	Can be used with most switches & sockets, but is only compatible with the C-Line faceplate below
13A socket should be used with one of the above rear boxes for safety if exposed.	13A sockets & Back boxes Any frame can be used with the above round back box, CBE or C-Line apart from the Standard C-Line frame. The spacer is not compatible with it. (See standard frame further below) The round back box is not intended for any switches or sockets other than the 13A type but could be used with some others subject to clearance	Only C-Line surface frame (rounded corners) can be used with above surface mount back box

OUTER FRAMES	SUPPORT FRAMES & SPACERS	EXAMPLES OF FRAMES
Low profile C-Line frame	The frame to the left is ideal for flush mounted CBE & C-Line switches and sockets & does not require any spacers or support frames. Also available in 2 & 3 way! The switch/socket is fixed to the wall by 2 or 4 screws and the frame then clips over it.	12V & TV socket in a low profile frame.
Standard C-Line frame. Can be mounted either way and must be used with the spacer Also available in 2 & 3 way. >	Spacer required for this frame. Switch/socket is attached by 2 screws. Cannot be used with either back box!	.Standard C-Line frame & 13A socket. Only use where back of socket is unaccessible.Cannot be used with either back box!
CBE Outer frame. Available in 14 different colours. All frames usually available in 1, 2 & 3 way. The support frame secures the socket in place.	Support frames are required for CBE outer frames. Available in Dark & Light grey or Brown. Most of our listings now include a support frame.	Grey 12V + TV socket with dark grey support & Glitter silver frame. The outer frame clips onto to the support frame.
Adaptor plate frame for C-Line & CBE switches & sockets	Adaptor plate The adaptor plate left allows a C-Line or CBE switch or socket to fit an 85 x 85mm standard patterns. If using with our 37mm surface mount box, please make sure that there is sufficient clearance for the item and cables etc.	CBE Frames (above) Please Note! All CBE outer frames must have a support frame. These are included in most of our listings with the most popular colour for the outer. If you need a different colour support please ask before ordering. We will do our best to provide an alternative if in stock.
