For sale is a spectacular circa 1900-1920 carved and gold gilded American Art Nouveau style wooden picture frame.

This frame is very well carved by hand and has its original gold over red clay surface. It features gorgeous Art nouveau and arts and crafts elements throughout with special attention to the ornately carved corners. 

The frame is in excellent sturdy condition and previously held a 19th century American Impressionist portrait which has since been removed.  

This is an authentic and antique picture frame. There are some areas of age appropriate wear with gilt losses. For its age it would be listed in Very Good condition. See all detailed picture for consideration.

It will fit two sizes of paintings prints or mirrors if the inner band is removed.  Below we list all rabbet measurements for both the current size as well as the expanded size.
