This starter kit contains all the supplies needed to string, or re-string, up to 6 necklaces (more if you don't need all the clasps!)
Each kit contains: Complete illustrated instructions, 2 cards (72") white nylon bead cord with attached needle, 3 yards medium gauge tigertail bead stringing wire, 3 pair calotte crimps, 3 pairs french crimp beads, 6 clasps, a pair of needle nosed pliers, 20 round filler beads, a storage container for the clasps, crimps and beads and a gray work pad to keep beads under control and on the work surface not the floor!

Carded Nylon Bead Cord
Easy to use, has a needle already attached to the cord. The medium gauge (included in all kits) will fit through all but the smallest beads (larger and smaller gauges can be requested and substituted). Ideal for knotting in between beads for a professional and secure finish. Sharp edges on rough glass and metal beads can cut through the cord with wear. Has a tendency to stretch a little over time. No special tools needed to string with nylon cord, only scissors to snip the end. Pliers are useful to close the calotte crimp but this can be accomplished with a small tweezer.
Tigertail
Very easy to use, no needle required, the medium gauge (included in all kits) will fit through most beads. Can be brittle, has a tendency to kink if bent, and may not "drape" with very lightweight beads. Tigertail cannot be knotted and a small pair of needle nosed pliers is need to "crimp" the clasp onto the wire.
Clasps
Barrel clasps are difficult to open and close with one hand so are not ideal for bracelets, but are ideal for necklaces. Pearl clasps are very secure and attractive with most beads. Lobster clasps can be used with one hand (with practice), so are the better choice for bracelets.
Beads
Kits include 20 small round beads. These are useful if you have lost a few beads from your original piece and need some "fillers", or need to add some beads to lengthen the finished item.
