Standard trivet rubber feet are 8mm - 13mm long, the heels are about 2mm thick, the heel is the bit that supports the weight of the dish and food that you put on to the trivet and this is the bit that wears through, causing Sparking, Arc-ing or Shorting out which damages the Sensitive Microwave Generator.
