This MAX-LED strip is a great tool for professional interior designers as well as for individual fans of LED light illumination. Waterproof strip with IP rating at IP65 via newest NANO technology provides better heat dissipation than standard waterproof strips in silicone/gel coating, lower temperature of the strip basically means a longer lifespan of the strip lights. NANO technology protects the strip against steam and water damage without reducing the strip flexibility. What IP65 means?

The IP Code, International Protection Marking, IEC standard 60529, sometimes interpreted as Ingress Protection Marking, classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against intrusion (body parts such as hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water by mechanical casings and electrical enclosures. It is published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The equivalent British standard is EN 60529.

1st digit: Solid particle protection

6 Dust tight – No ingress of dust; complete protection against contact (dust tight). A vacuum must be applied. Test duration of up to 8 hours based on air flow.

2nd digit: Liquid ingress protection

5 Water jets – Water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects.
