We take our name from Dr. Johnson's Dictionary of 1755 where the word merrythought is defined as a wishbone, now a symbol of good luck. Primarily we sell antique and vintage postcards, trade cards, die cuts, greeting cards, bookmarks, and other ephemera. Occasionally we sell vintage books, paintings, and antiques. Fabulous early vintage Swedish Christmas postcard depicting Santa Claus, wearing a brown coat & hood, with staff and sack of toys, cookies and books, spilling out into the snow, village in the background. Unposted & undivided on the reverse. Very Good Condition: Tiny corner tip wear; light creasing lower right corner; interior is excellent.

We do all we can to ensure the safe arrival of your item. We pack carefully. We use rigid, white photo mailers, archival quality soft sleeves, and rigid plastic sleeves for all paper items. We use the best packing materials to protect all other items. Please remember that the shipping cost includes the cost of quality shipping materials. Although the cost of quality packing materials has risen along with postal rates, we try our best to keep shipping costs as low as possible. We are happy to combine shipping costs for multiple items, so please don't pay before receiving an invoice. We expect payment within 7 days of sale. After payment is received, we always ship the next business day.  We cheerfully accept returns if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase.
