'Lubix High Viscosity Silicone' Lubix Cube was started in the summer of 2010, and was the first company to market a pure high viscosity silicone lubricant to the cubing community. We had personally tested the product for several years before thinking to approach the cubing world with a new product. Through both dedication and perseverance, Lubix Cube Silicone has since been revered as the best and safest silicone in the world for a wide variety of cubes.
With our silicone as a foundation, and through my own personal pursuit of the perfect cube, Lubix has grown to include specialty cubes as well. Over the years, Lubix Cube has built a strong reputation for offering only the best possible products available.
In September of 2010 only a few weeks after it's release, I came across a cube from at then little known company called Dayan. Their newest cube design was called the GuHong.
Out of the box the cube had hidden potential that was immediately let loose through some clever lubrication methods, and simple (once I refined them) modifications. Looking to expand Lubix, I tested the market with a pre lubricated, modified, and tensioned cube I named the "Ultimate Lubix GuHong". To set my cubes apart from the rest, I rebranded the Dayan GuHong by adding my company logo.
To my pleasant surprise, the overall popularity of customers wanting a pre lubricated, tensioned, and read to go out of the box speed cube was well received. This was the soft launch of Lubix Cube as we know it today.
Being that we believe in our silicone, we were able to create a foundation for Lubix, and have become the first and only company to offer all pre lubed, modified, and tensioned cubes to our customers. We also extend a guarantee that is not offered by the OEM. We are a hands-on business, and our processes our very time consuming. This is our business model, and it's what sets us apart from other cubing stores.
The idea of getting a ready to go cube out of the box has grown with people, and based on the simple supply and demand we were able to make a move from a two man home based business, to a staff of full time employees with an off-site office for packaging, assembly, shipping, modifications, and all things Lubix.
Underneath a majority of the world records seen on the WCA Website, quietly lays Lubix. Thanks to Feliks Zemdegs performing his now historic 6.24 second World record with a Lubix Cube (Ultimate Lubix GuHong), our products have shown themselves to be, in fact 'World Class Speed Cubes'.
Lubix cube has since grown to include dozens of specialty cubes that are well tested, and capable of holding the next world record. But it is the support of the Cubing Community that has driven our success so far. For that, we extend our deepest gratitude.

WHAT IS LUBIX?
Lubix is an odorless, colorless, high viscosity pure silicone fluid for decreasing friction on all moving parts of puzzle cubes such as a standard 3x3 Rubix's Cube. Lubix allows a cube to be twisted and turned faster. Lubix helps prevent a cube from binding and popping. It also helps prevent premature wear due to friction.

WHAT IS LUBIX?

WHAT IS IT MADE OF?
Lubix silicone is made of a polydimethylsiloxane polymer. This versatile polymer is used in items such as damping fluids, polishes, food products, cosmetics, hair conditioner, heat transfer fluids, as well as lubricants
CAN I USE IT IN COMPETITION?
YES! All lubricants including Lubix are allowed to be used in competition.
IT MADE MY CUBE SLOWER, WHY?
There is a good chance you over applied Lubix. Because of it's high viscosity, you need very little (1/50ml) on the contact areas of a cube to get it moving with less friction, therefor faster. If you over applied, simply wipe off the excess, and the cube will speed back up.
DO I NEED TO LUBE THE CORE?
YES! It is often assumed that simply lubing the contact areas where pieces rub will speed up your cube. During experiments, it has been found that a large amount of the friction on a cube is actually coming from the core where the springs, washers, and screw hold the core together. Lube these 6 points for best results.
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
Because of it's high viscosity, Lubix will remain in the core area for a very long time. As mentioned above, the core of the cube makes up for a great amount of a cubes friction. Since the Lubix silicone has no place to go to break down, the speed gains of using Lubix can be noticed many months after applying. For decreasing surface-to-surface friction, apply 1/50ml of Lubix to rubbing surface pieces as needed.
IS IT SAFE TO TOUCH?
YES! Under normal use this silicone is safe to handle and will have a silk like feeling on the skin. However, because eyes are sensitive, avoid direct contact with them as it may cause irritation. IS IT BETTER THAN OTHER LUBRICANTS?
YES! When comparing Lubix to other lubricants, consider the side effects. Lubix is a pure silicone that does not damage ABS and other plastics. It is also safe to handle. Other products on the market are known to break down and destroy plastic, and are potentially dangerous to your health, even when used as recommended. Because of it's thickness, Lubix tends to hold onto the cube longer compared to low viscosity or milky lubricants. This is especially noticeable when lubricating the 6 points of a core on a 3x3 cube.
