It portrays a beautiful nude gilt bronze lady hammering a gold nail into a large horseshoe. Most were cast at the Susse Fres Foundry in Paris around the turn of the 20th century circa 1900. this model has auction records of more than $6,000.00. The one we are offering for sale is in excellent condition. The largest model of this image made by Recipon. The model is gilt bronze on a dark patinated bronze horseshoe. He made them two ways. With a dark bronze patinated horse shoe like this one or a silvered bronze patinated horseshoe. She measures 5-3/4 inches high. From her side to the end of the horseshoe she measure 6-1/2 inches long. Form her left hand to her left toes she measures 7-3/4 inches. Weight 4.75 lbs. This is a exquisite bronze guaranteed to be a welcome addition to anyone's collection. The horseshoe has always been a symbol of good luck.
