Organic pads are suitable for every day mountain biking both on and off the road. They are very quick to bed in and have an overall great progressive feel in all conditions. They are generally quieter in operation than sintered but wear quicker.

Sintered Pads are harder wearing than organic pads and last longer and are more suited to wet and muddy conditions. They squeal a bit as they have a metallic content, but they cool quicker under extreme conditions such as downhill racing. They can take longer to bed in but offer a more powerful feeling than organic.

Disc pad compounds are very much a personal preference and if you usually like sintered or organic pads then ours will feel pretty much like what you are used to.

• Please note that in certain instances, when installing W.M.D disc brake pads on particular brands and brake models, it may be necessary to reuse the original factory pad retention spring.
• Important Maintenance: Check your brake pads and all components of your braking system before every ride. Replace pads if they have become damaged in use or have become worn past the adjustability of the brake. Be sure to check both pads as wear may vary.
