The box measures 5.25 x 8.5 x 2.5 inches high, containing another box to look like a stage theater, with a reel of 22 printed, hand painted scenes from the war that scroll by( full lenght of reel about 15 feet ). Scenes include the bombardment of Fort Sumter, the killing of Elmer Ellsworth, the first clash of ironclads,caring for the wounded at Antietam,escaped slaves seeking refuge in the Union lines, the fall of Richmond, and various other battles and camp scenes.
