Good condition, medium intensity print, trimmed margins, some marks and foxing, watermark evident as in photograph, small pencil mark to the bottom reverse - matted and mounted using archival materials - Please note this is an original print not a reproduction - Please refer to the photos as they form an integral part of the description - Please note the stand is not included - This item is mounted but not framed and will be packed between two pieces of heavy gauge card.

Terpsichore is the muse of "delight in dancing" and the goddess of dance and chorus - see wikipedia link

Hendrik Goltzius 1558 - 1617 Dutch draftsman, printmaker, publisher and painter - he was the leading Dutch engraver of the early Baroque period - examples of his drawings, paintings and prints are held in major museums and leading art institutions around the world. Prints of the muses are held by the Met Museum, Rijks Museum, Victorian Albert Museum, Havard Art Museum, Museum of Fine Arts Boston and the British Museum, amongst others.
