Vintage Sorrento Olive Wood Puzzle Box with Hinged Lid Italy c1930s. Beautiful vintage box in very good used condition. Blue sparrow? birds painted on lid surrounded by lovely a lovely inlay design. New lining on interior. The front bottom panel slides to the left to allow the panel on the bottom right side of the box to slide out. This reveals a secret compartment one could have kept the key or something else?? inside. The front bottom plate then slides to the right, where the 'IV book' falls to reveal the keyhole. Unfortunately, the key is not included with this box. Measures approximately 9.5" wide, 4.75" deep, and 4.5" tall. See photos for more on content and condition. Thank you!
