This wire is covered in 'see-through'/clear polyurethane and therefore it does not tarnish.
The polyurethane makes it non-conductive unless soldered or the polyurethane is 'scratched' through.

Useful for electrical connections, windings, and for DIY purposes such as craft / jewellery making.
