To insert twist the ends apart just enough for it to go into the piercing (twist one end towards you and the other end away from you, never pull apart sideways) 
once inserted twist the ends back into their original position, care needs to be taken when twisting open rings with decorative parts, pressure should not be applied to the decorative part as this can result in damage to the item.

Care needs to be taken with plated items

Contact with moisture or chemical substances including cosmetics/toiletries/cleaners etc should be avoided as this can cause wear/discolouration to the plated surface

Decorative elements/mounts are plated metal

(Designs with plated decorative metal elements and gems in prong-set mounts are unsuitable for long-term wear, they should not be left in overnight as this could result in damage to the decorative elements and gems

also they can discolour if they come into contact with cosmetics/toiletries/moisture)
