(1 PAIR) OF NEW 66-73 JEEPSTER COMMANDO TAILLIGHT BRAKE LIGHT STEEL CONVERSION PLATES (LIGHTS ARE NOT INCLUDED). THIS LISTING IS FOR THE CUSTOM MOUNTING PLATES ONLY.
They were designed to fit standard 6.0" oval trailer taillights or brake lights. They are for sale on online or your local auto parts store. If you can't find them, please let me know. They are also available in LED versions of the light bulb for low cost (with a reverse light). The oval plate opening is 6-5/8" long and 2-9/16" wide.
THESE ARE MADE SPECIFICALLY FOR THE JEEPSTER COMMANDO BODY BY A METAL FABRICATION SHOP.
These plates are intended to be installed in place of the broken or faded factory brake lights found on the Jeespter Commando. Good used lenses are very hard to find as most are cracked. These steel plates are meant to be painted to the body color for a modern custom look but still keep the lines of the Jeepster Commando.
To install these you simply remove the old light bucket, drill out the chrome ring mounting holes and bolt up this new one. These are made of 1/8" thick mild steel and cut on a CNC Plasma machine to a close tolerance. The oval trailer lights can be found at most local auto parts stores, trailer supply stores or on eBay. Email if you have any questions regarding the lights that fit these.

Note: Actual application or fit may require slight modification or trimming to fit. I cannot guarantee this will fit all years 1966-1973. Auction is for plates and instructions only. Plates are shipped unpainted. This brakelight conversion will eliminate your reverse backup light unless you buy a LED light that can do both (available on Amazon).
