The KW Praktina FX was a very early "systems" camera that was first produced in Germany in the early 1950's. This camera was produced with a bevy of lenses and varied accessories, including two motor drives (one electric, and another spring driven) that for the time were quite rare. And when the camera was used with a motor drive, the effect was an instant-return mirror, a "first" for the time!

Not surprisingly, the Praktina FX became the camera of choice of professional sports photographers in the mid 1950's. And this was about five years before the Nikon F ever appeared on the camera market.

The camera that is the subject of this sale is in nice condition. Nice cosmetics (see photos) and everything works properly. Clear glass, smooth focus and all shutter speeds and mirror mechanism are working. An original leather case and a second waist level viewfinder as well as original Instruction Booklets that are included for use with the camera.

Lens is a Carl Zeiss 58mm f2.0 Biotar in the Praktina lens mount. This lens is equipped with a semi-automatic diaphragm. (You focus the lens wide open, and the lens stops down to the pre-set lens opening when the shutter is actuated.)

I prefer to ship to addresses in the US and Canada, but will consider shipping to other locations. Shipping will be via the US Postal Service, and shipping charges will be based on the buyer's ZIP or Postal Code.

If you are the buyer, I'll contact you shortly after the sale ends. Good luck!
