Description
A very finely detailed painting on rice or pith paper depicting a some birds on a branch with foliage. It has the vibrant original colours and although not signed or dated, I believe it may be close to 1870 in date. The fragile nature of the rice paper has largely been protected by the frame which is original and the back is undisturbed, there is however, some areas of loss. Do study the pictures for condition but please remember that they are much magnified. The detail and quality of the painting is very fine.
