VINTAGE MARKLIN HO SK 800 4-6-4 STREAMLINED STEAM LOCOMOTIVE IN ORIGINAL BOX

COLLECTORS PLEASE READ: I have been asked by a friend to liquidate his extensive vintage European HO train collection, items which I know nothing about. This is the last of the locomotives but there are still about 60 freight and passenger cars left. All the cars are boxed, from the 1950s and 1960s and most are Like New to Mint condition. They consist of such prominent manufactures as Marklin, Pocher, HAG and Rivarossi. He and I would like to sell the entire 60 lot freight-passenger car collection as one lot. I do not have (nor do I have the time to make) a inventory of the collection. If you are a serious buyer/collector interested in making a fair offer for the entire collection please call me at 412-279-5439 to make arrangement to come to my home in Pittsburgh,PA to view the collection. I can also send you a series of pictures of the collection in the boxes (probably 20 items per picture) but please do not call and ask for pictures or to see the collection unless you are a series buyer. Now on with the description of this item.

LOT DESCRIPTION: As the title says this lot consists of a VINTAGE MARKLIN HO SK 800 4-6-4 STREAMLINED STEAM LOCOMOTIVE. I am told this was made in the late 1940s to early 1950s and is a valuable collector piece. It was made in West Germany. Loco comes in the original box with all the packing material. Loco does show usage with rubs on both loco and tender but I would still rate it as in C-7 excellent condition. I have tested the loco and it runs fine. Check out the pictures to see the quality and details of this great looking loco and tender for the pictures are an important part of the description and say more than my non expert words ever can .

COMMENTS & QUESTIONS PLEASE READ!: If there is a problem, regardless of type, e-mail me and I will try and resolve it with you. I am both a TCA Member and LCCA Member and I do my best to describe each item accurately and my feedback indicates I usually succeed. I usually leave feedback once every 7 to 10 days and only after I have received feedback. You will ALWAYS be bidding on the actual item shown in my pictures. LOOK AT THE PICTURES, READ THE DESCRIPTIONS. You are NOT bidding on what you think the item should be or what you would like it to be you are bidding on exactly what you see in the pictures. Leaving negative feedbacks without first trying to resolve the issue is not to neither of our benefits. Again, take a good look at all the pictures (they describe the lot better than my words can) to see exactly what you are bidding on and judge the condition of the item for yourself. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions on this item especially as it relates to it’s condition. Ask now, not after you have won the item! As is the case for almost all my auctions this lot is offered to you WITH NO RESERVE!
