This classic lens come from the 50's, famous for its beautiful glow rendering, used by Hollywood studios photographers for their glamourous pictures.

The Veritar is the evolution of the early Verito, differences are coated glasses for colour photography, and fitted inside Alphax shutter.

The variation of softness is made by diaphragm, graduated by 7 dots between f6 and f8

This lens is is in nice used condition, glasses are bright withous scratch, withous separation, without fungus. There is some tiny dust inside.

The shutter works as it should at each speed (no tested for accuracy). There is a bipost flash sync.

The chrome barrel has texture loss on front group (see attached pictures).

The original front cap and box are included.

This lens was professionnaly mounted on a Speed Graphic 4x5 lensboard.

The Veritar f6 10in covers 5x7in. It's a perfect tool for portrait photography with 4x5 camera.
