Since we repeatedly tested and heard the decoders of HA12016, LA3410 and LA3401 ics on SABA Freiburg 14 machine, we found that HA12016 had the best effect, so we finally selected HA12016 of Japan Hitachi Company.
It is cost-effective, good timbre, high separation, good stability, installed on SABA Freiburg 14 all indicators are very good. Including its stereo indication effect is also excellent! Its performance far exceeds that of the original machine equipped with the E16 decoder.
We have designed the stereo decoding, power supply, and stereo indication of the EM87 as a whole, and the interior and exterior visuals are more beautiful. Unique power supply design ensures perfect sound quality and EM87 stereo indication!
Dear customer, please note:
The radio that you are installing this decoder module into must be electronically restored and full IF alignment carried out according to SABA service manual instructions for this module to perfectly. It is very important that these repairs and optimisations are carried out. If you are just installing this module into an ‘unknown’ condition (original, unrestored, partially restored radio) or ‘misaligned’ (IF alignment questionable or no recent IF alignment complete) you will be wasting your time and money and we don’t not recommend this product if this is you.
During this Pandemic we have to cancel orders from countries to which delivery is severely delayed or interrupted. We strongly recommend all buyers to inquire if your home country is affected in this regard before bidding.
Also, if you need the replacement parts urgently or you cannot afford any delay in delivery, we strongly recommend you DO NOT place your order from us at this time, just because we don’t have control of the delivery time during Pandemic.
Up for sale is our 3nd generation IC-based stereo decoder (also called Multiplex，see pic 1) which fits seamlessly SABA Freiburg 14, Freiburg Studio A, SABA Freiburg 15, SABA CONTINENTAL 410US, SABA CONTINENTAL 420US.
Installation of this decoder on SABA Freudenstadt 14, Mainau 14 Stereo, Mainau 14 and the like requires additional wiring (see Pic 5 &6 for detail).
This new version brings enhanced separation and clearer, fuller stereo effect. It also features an improved driver for EM87, the tuning / stereo indicator on board.
No drilling or filing is required for fitting the decoder on the chassis. Just fasten the two screws (included) to secure it as shown in Pic 3.
Please make sure your radio/tuner/receiver and stereo amplifier are working properly and the sound is at its best, before connecting the decoder.
When you have installed this FM decoder, your radio will play full, rich and organic FM stereo you never experienced with it before. In addition to a dedicated stereo indicator (the Green LED, see Pic3), the EM87 on your radio will also work to indicate stereo signal reception.
This decoders/multiplex is guaranteed to work with Saba models listed above, replacing vintage Saba decoder . Installation of this decoder is truly “Plug n’ Play” in most cases. Please look at the photos for details.
Don't forget safety! Installation of this decoder does not require handling of any high voltage wires.
For SABA Freiburg 15M，Freiburg 18，Freiburg 18M，Breisgau Automatic 15 de Luxe natural, to take advantage of this decoder, the 5th and 6th pins of the decoder socket under chassis need to connect to "f1" and "f2" (Filament 6.3v AC, see Pic 5) respectively.
On SABA Freiburg 14, Freiburg Studio A, SABA Freiburg 15, SABA CONTINENTAL 410US, SABA CONTINENTAL 420US, SABA Freudenstadt 14, Mainau 14 Stereo, Mainau 14 this is not required.

I charge a flat fee for shipping by SpeedPAK, either Standard or Economic service depending on where you are located. In either case, a tracking number will be provided so the buyer can track the shipment online without leaving eBay website.
Please understand that import duties and levies are not included in our sales price or shipping charges. Paying these charges, if any, are the buyer's responsibility. Also, we cannot report to customs value of goods lower than our actual sales price.
