Seiko Tuna is the name given to Seiko's range of watches designed for scuba and professional diving. In particular, Seiko made these watches with saturation diving or greater depth diving in mind. All of the watches in the Seiko Tuna range are characterized by protective screwed-on shrouds that have earned them the nickname of “Tuna”.
The Seiko Marine Master Pro. 1000M Emperor Tuna Ref. SBDX013 is powered by Seiko's iconic high-grade Seiko 26-jewel automatic (8L35) movement which is an undecorated and unadjusted version of the Grand Seiko movement, caliber 9S55. The 8L35 beats at 28,800 bph, has hand-winding and hacking features. The movement has 50 hours of power reserve with an expected accuracy within -10/+15 seconds per day (this watch timed +2 sec./day on timeograph when it was reviewed to be listed here).
This watch was taken on a trade for a Marathon Military watch and was purchased in Nov., 2017 by a meticulous Southern collector from an authorized US Seiko Dealer. The watch is complete with boxes, tags, manuals, and completed/transferable manufacturer's warranty card ( remainder of 3-years for Seiko, USA).
