The gameplay is composed of the two English terms mine (=mining, raw material extraction) and craft (=processing). And that's what Minecraft is all about: removing raw materials from the landscape and transforming them into new landscapes or objects.

In addition to the familiar versions for PC and various game consoles. Minecraft is also available on the Raspberry Pi. The Raspberry Pi version offers a great advantage. It is programmable via a specially developed interface in the programming language Python. Python is also preinstalled on the Raspberry Pi and allows the control of external hardware among other things. On the Raspberry Pi it is possible to flash with Minecraft LEDs or to control the game figure "Steve" with hardware buttons and sensor contacts.
