On offer here is an interesting traveling salesman’s sample copy of Stanley in Africa: The Paladin of the Nineteenth Century by A. H. Godbey, published in 1890 by the People’s Publishing Co. Hardcover book (measuring approx. 5.5 by 8 inches) containing an abridged text and many full-page b+w illustrations. In good overall condition. PO names written on the front fly leaves. Sample spine mounted on the front pastedown. Moderate wear/tear to the covers. Quite scarce.
