Sequoia. A fat stick.

Sequoia.  It's big. It's wide. It stands tall.

We sure love our Scopa recumbent road bike.
But come winter time, and we just feel bad about taking it out on the salted wet roads.
Winter is supposed to be white, not brown.
So why not escape the dirty city, and run wild in the woods ?
Lay back and cruise those  pristine white trails and forest roads in style and comfort.

But it's not just about the snow. Sequoia lets you escape and find peace and quiet even in the summer.
It will feel at home cruising down the beach and similar sandy terrain.
Fly up and down those fire roads too.
Get dirty.
Why not ?

Wide and fat tires, up to 5", provide all the traction you need,
whilst providing a cushy ride, soaking up small bumps and rocks.

But keep it reasonable. Sequoia is not an off-road mountain bike.
It's an all-road all-weather recumbent.
Having no suspension puts a limit on how bumpy the road can get,
and it's just a recumbent, after all.

Sequoia is handmade in Europe.
ST52 thin wall cold drawn steel tubing main frame, weighting in at around 3300g (3900g HD frame version)

It can be built reasonably light,  1 or 2kg heavier then a comparably equipped  upright fatbike
which is still reasonably light, and shouldering the bike up a steep hill does not present a problem.

Rear hub spacing is 190mm, 10mm QR axle.
IS disc brake calliper mount.
Head tube is 44mm diameter with ZeroStack headset for straight 1 1/8" steerer fork, or 1.5 tapper with EC44/40 bottom headset cup.

Traditional BSA 68mm bottom bracket (no need for wide fatbike-specific bb tnx to the long recumbent chain)

Frame comes in two sizes: S/M  (~160-185cm tall rider) or L (185+)
Seats come in S to XL sizes, glassfiber or carbon.
Boom tube slides in/out for leg length adjustment, handlebars are adjustable in height and angle,
and reach can be adjusted with fitting a different length stem.
Seat angle adjusts between 25 and 35 degrees.

There is a 90kg weight limit for the standard frame, 130kg for the thicker walled HD frame.

Seat height(with 4" tires) is 72cm,
bottom bracket is ~25cm higher(depending on the boom tube adjustment)
Riders shorter then 170cm might opt for 24" or 20" wheels,
to keep the seat height manageable.

3-layer powder coat for the frame and boom comes standard, and you get to choose a colour from RAL chart.
Candy Apple and Sparkle/Metallic is an option too.

Sequoia is available as a frame-set.
Frame-set includes: frame, handlebar and handlebar riser, seat mounts and seat struts, chain idler wheel, nuts & bolts.
Glassfiber or carbon seat, and Ventisit pad are optional.
To complete the bike you'll need to purchase a suitable fork, wheels, drive train, brakes, etc.   all widely-available parts
and of course - a qualified bike mechanic to put all that together.
