Growing Recommendations:
1.  Keep seeds in a cool, dry area until ready to stratify.
2.  Soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours to help them break dormancy.
3.  Place seeds in a plastic bag with some moistened seed-starting mix. Place in refrigerator for a 90-day cold stratification period. Check seeds frequently to make sure soil does not dry out. Transplant any sprouted seeds immediately.
4.. After the 90 days in the fridge, transplant seeds into individual pots will moist, sterile potting mix. Japanese Cherry trees have long tap roots, so make sure the pot is fairly deep (unless keeping as a bonsai or small ornamental tree). Place in a sunny, warm location (inside or outside) and water seeds to settle them into the soil.
5.  Keep soil damp. Germination will occur between 2-16 weeks, although rarely a seed will remain in dormancy until the following year. Be patient and don't discard your seeds prematurely!   :)

Germination:   85%
