Nikon D7000 590nm 'Goldie' IR SUPER COLOR converted camera!
Infrared photography opens up an unseen world of beauty and never-ending surprise. Up for bid is a Nikon D7000. The internal IR cut filter has been removed and replaced with a 590nm longpass filter. This filter blocks most visible light and allows near IR and IR light to be recorded by the sensor.
The results? You’ll have a camera that will capture infrared images without the need for long exposures or the need for a tripod at 6 frames per second for handheld HDR! With the 590nm filter in place, you can achieve surrealistic colors with plenty of options for post processing. BnW IR photography can be achieved with software conversion or by using the D7000’s built in B+W mode. I provide a tutorial and the software to do this. The first picture in my listing is what your image will look like with the white balance correctly set, red and blue channels swapped, and hue and saturation adjusted.
The D7000 is a powerful and feature-packed DSLR which illustrates Nikon's canny ability to satisfy the most particular photographers. So along with 1080p movies, a microphone input, dual memory card slots and autofocusing while filming, the D7000 also features faster continuous shooting, greater viewfinder coverage, more sophisticated metering, and magnesium alloy construction.
The camera’s condition: The camera is mechanically perfect. The viewfinder is clear. The LCD has no dead pixels and the upper LCD and rear TFT cover are in excellent condition. Cosmetically, the body’s condition is excellent for a camera of it's age (but please see my pictures as they are my description for cosmetics). The autofocus has been adjusted and tested and is GUARANTEED f/1.8 sharp with the 50mm f/1.8 and will likely perform similarly with other Nikkor lenses. If you have an esoteric lens you wish the camera calibrated to, just ask.
