PROOF COINS

Proof coins are a method of manufacturing.  Proof coins are usually absent of the minor imperfections of business strike coins, and are noticeable by their ultra-flashy appearance, and the fineness of detail.  Although minted in much fewer numbers than their business strike companions, they have less collectors pursuing them, so they can be obtained at fairly decent levels.  If you want a coin that will bring out the "King Midas" in you, start collecting Proof coins.
