This listing is for a very nice, and very rare, factory original Gibson Custom Shop OEM ES175 Hard Shell guitar case.
As
you can see, it has the classic black exterior with the
Gibson logo in gold on the lid, a plush dark grey interior and a matching satin shroud.
There's also a lock loop on the side to add a small padlock and secure your guitar while it's being store or
transported.
We'll also include a free brass pad lock at no additional charge.
TKL makes these cases for the Gibson Custom Shop. The quality is exceptional and unsurpassed. Also notice, this case has an arched top lid, for added protection.
Like any used case, this one is not perfect, but it's still in great shape. The tolex exterior has a few scuffs and nicks but nothing major. The plush interior is in excellent condition with no tears or stains etc. The black satin shroud is still intact and it makes for a nice presentation as well as some added protection for the top of your guitar. All of the brass / gold colored hardware on the case is intact, and everything works, including the hasps, hinges and handle etc. There's an accessory pocket ( to store extra strings picks capo strap etc ) and it's still in place. The small pull tab for the lid is also still attached. All of the small metal caps ( protective ball feet ) on the back, are also intact. The strap that holds the main lid open also is still in place and it works great.
This is the same case that came with a Gibson Custom Shop ES-175 Figured Natural Model, which sells for $5349.00 or more. The cases almost always stay with the Custom Shop guitars, so they rarely come up for sale, especially in great condition like this one.
These are measurements, between the pads, which will give a little.
The lower bout is 16"
The upper bout is 12-1/2"
The waist is 10"
The length is 43"
The depth is 4-1/2" and the lid is another 1" deep.
The case will also work with many Dreadnaught size acoustic guitars, but it's tight.
However, exact guitar dimensions will very, so please check these measurements below, to make sure your guitar will work.
