The 4” x 1/2” x .025” Air Saw Reciprocating Saw Blade with 24 TPI is 4 inches long, 1/2” wide, .025” thick and has 24 Teeth Per Inch. This combination of specifications provides the following advantages: 4 inch blades are shorter than almost all other reciprocating blades. This short length allows for maximum control in confined spaces. 4 inch long recip blades are the perfect size for cutting work pieces that are 1 to 2 inches wide (Your blade length should be 2" - 3" longer than the width of the material you are cutting to prevent slipping. Additionally, your blade should not be so much longer than your material or else wobbling and vibration can occur.). The 1/2” width beam provides flex and maneuverability when needed. The .025” thickness is considered “thin” further allowing flex required for radial cuts. Saw saw blades with .025” thickness cut faster than .035” blades and leaves as small of a kerf on your work piece as possible.
