Vintage 1970 Marshall Super Bass 100w JMP Valve Amplifier Head

This JMP is one of the first of the 'post-plexi' era, dating to 1970. The A serial on this is the first serial following the plexi era, still retaining the majority of the plexi circuitry - hence the plexi tone! A set of 4x JJ EL34 valves power this beast, alongside 3x ECC83 pre amp valves (2x Groove Tubes and 1x Fender). The standup Dagnall power transformer indicates this slightly post-plexi amplifierCosmetically it is in very good condition, with only a few light scuffs to the tolex. There are a few small components that have been changed in its past gigging days, but nothing significant. The gold tip on the Volume II knob is missing, leaving remnants of the old glue, the standby switch tip has been replaced for a very close match and the original Bulgin has been replaced with a modern TAD IEC connector. These small changes honestly don't affect the sound quality - it really rocks! This also has the Marshall voltage selector on the back of the chassis, meaning you guys across the pond can easily use this with a small change of position.

Serial Number: 9655A
