Seagram's Royal Visit Souvenir Good-will Stamps (1939)
cc2660 Tracing its roots to the 1850s, the Seagram Company rose to be the largest distiller of alcoholic beverages in the world. To commemorate the royal visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1939, Seagram produced a special whisky, 'Crown Royal', which is still sold today, and also issued a special sheet of 18 (6 x 3) commemorative stamps featuring members of the Royal Family.
