Vintage "Dutch-Ware" Vase Silver plated hexagonal vase with Dutch scenes throughout; marked to bottom "Dutch-Ware E. & J.B." encircling a windmill logo; measures approximately 6-1/2" tall. “Dutch-Ware†was one of the trademarks of the E. & J. Bass Co. of New York City. They produced sterling silver, sterling silver deposit, silver plate and jewelry from 1890 until 1930. “Dutch-Ware†refers to the subject matter of the decoration. In this case, there is probably a layer of silver plate on a much heavier metal, perhaps nickel.
