NOS NEW Genuine AKAI 7" 7 Inch Metal Take-up for Reel to Reel Tape Deck Original Unopened

Protected from the passage of time, these New Old Stock Akai Metal 7" Reels are presented here for your consideration. These extremely special items are intended to be sold only to the most dedicated collector who desires the untouched by human hands (since the factory) condition that is seldom seen. The reels seem to shine with brilliance against the light, giving off the impression of being flawless underneath the seal.

These are unopened and unused. The cardboard backing has indentations from storage but appears to be firmly sealed to the plastic covering of the reel. There are markings on the plastic covering the reel from friction over the many years. Some of the cardboard backings may have bending on some areas and extremely minor markings. The reels appear to have been protected through the decades from dirt and all forms of other debris with an air tight, hard-plastic seal. This seal was placed on the reels during the original packaging process over 40 years ago. These reels were manufactured by Akai around 1971.

A significant amount of dedication, time, and investigation was required to succeed in locating and acquiring these beautiful reels, individually, in unopened condition.   We sincerely hope you treasure the rarity and opportunity of being the one to finally open the seal after it has traveled so far and for so long. This is, most certainly, one of the few last collections of unopened Akai reels in existence.

As with all vintage unopened items, these are presented AS IS with no guarantees since we cannot open the item to determine functionality, full cosmetic appearance, and other factors.

We thank you for your valuable time at this listing. We take Akai collecting extremely seriously and we hope that you do too. Each purchase is for 1 new old stock reel. We have 2 total for sale. Returns: Each return must have the same item in the same condition it was sent in (Unopened and unused).

(We have another four of these in another listing. They can be found here in our MASSIVE GX-77 Collection: Akai GX-77 System Collection)
