Up for auction is my 1978 R80/7 rig with a Velorex 562, less than 50,000 miles. The frame and engine have matching VINs and there is a clean WI title. The rig's subframe is made specifically for these bikes, and the sidecar can be detached for solo riding. I was riding the bike solo for a bit and recently reattached the hack. Toe in and lean should be readjusted at this point, but the rig is all assembled and ready to go!

The previous owner did the following work on the bike:

Rebuilt transmission, new bearings, reshimmed; New clutch; Rehoned cylinders, new rings; Cleaned heads, lapped valves, new springs; Rebuilt brake cylinder; New steering head bearings; Toaster Tan triple clamp; Hot Grip heated grips; Dyna ignition booster; All wheel bearings checked and shimmed; Same with swingarm bearings; Complete fork rebuild; All seals and gaskets on engine replaced; New style breather installed; New clutch cable

The PO also had the frame and hardware on the sidecar blasted and powder coated, and installed new bearings.

I installed an Enduralast alternator on the bike and a new Metzeler K-Block rear tire (flatter profile for better sidecar pulling). I also have a VW steering damper that can be mounted between bike and rig for extra stability. There's a box of other miscellaneous parts as well.

Finally, a couple of months ago I replaced the oil and filter, cleaned the carbs, replaced the float bowl gaskets, replaced all the fuel lines, new fuel filters, and put anti-seize on the exhaust nuts.

The gas tank has a gold pinstripe and the rear fender has a blue pinstripe, but they are both black.

Overall a great running Airhead hack! Good luck!!

YES, THIS ITEM HAS BEEN RELISTED ... APPARENTLY SOME IDIOTS DON'T REALIZE THEY HAVE TO ACTUALLY PAY FOR SOMETHING THEY WIN AT AUCTION!
