ABOUT:

Very rare and unique, limited edition, 1884, illustrated, collection of 11 issues (from No 2 (February) to No 12 (December) of "Aghbiur", bound into one book. "Aghbyur" was the first children's illustrated magazine in Eastern Armenia, published in Tbilisi from 1883-1918, by the editor-in-chief Tigran Nazarian. The magazine sought to awaken love, affection, and honesty. The publication included literary-artistic, natural, geographical, biographical works, as well as children's works by Andersen, Hofmann, Hugo, Goethe, Pushkin, Turgenev, Nekrasov and other writers. The editor also gave great importance to folklore. On a regular basis, he also published in pedagogical, theoretical articles, studies, advice for parents and tutors. The magazine also featured the works of prominent Armenian writers such as Raffi, Proshyan, Gh. Aghayan, H. Hovhannisyan, H. Tumanyan, A. Tsaturyan, A. Isahakyan, Leo and others.

Տիգրան Հակոբջանի Նազարյան (սեպտեմբերի 29, 1858, Շուշի, Ռուսական կայսրություն - սեպտեմբերի 14, 1926, Թիֆլիս, Վրացական Խորհրդային Սոցիալիստական Հանրապետություն, Անդրկովկասի Խորհրդային Սոցիալիստական Դաշնային (Ֆեդերատիվ) Հանրապետություն, ԽՍՀՄ), հայ խմբագիր, հրատարակիչ, հասարակական գործիչ:

Տիգրան Նազարյանը ծնվել է 1858 թվականին Արցախի Շուշի քաղաքում: Սովորել է Շուշիի Գալուստ Փափազյանի մասնավոր դպրոցում: 1879 թվականին Շուշիում հիմնել է հրատարակչական գրասենյակ: 1881 թվականին տեղափոխվել է Թիֆլիս, որտեղ հրատարակել է «Աղբյուր» մանկապատանեկան ամսագիրը, «Տարազ» շաբաթաթերթը` հավելվածներով, «Կովկասի առավոտ» (1907) և այլ թերթեր, գրքեր, օրացույցներ, տարեցույցներ, ժողովածուներ, պիեսների («Ճըպատըդ քոլադ կտրի», 1887, «Արոզա», 1913), ակնարկների, հրապարակախոսական հոդվածների հեղինակ է:

1907 թվականին գրականագետների, արվեստագետների և խաղաղության միջազգային ընկերակցության Լիսաբոնում կազմակերպված ցուցահանդեսում ներկայացրել է 5-րդ դարի հայ պատմիչների հրատարակված գործերը, ընտրվել այդ կազմակերպության պատվավոր անդամ: 1915 թվականին Թիֆլիսում բացել է «Հրատապ սփոփանք մայր հայաստանցիներին» որբախնամ ապաստանը, «Վասպուրական դպրոց» մանկապարտեզը: 1919 թվականին մեկնել է Եվրոպա, որտեղ թղթակցել է «Ապագա» (Փարիզ) և այլ թերթերի, հրատարակել «Թիքա» գրական երկերի ժողովածուն (Լայպցիգ, 1922): 1925 թվականին վերադարձել է հայրենիք, Ղարաբաղի վերաշինության նպատակով կազմակերպել Ղարաբաղի օգնության կոմիտե:

«Աղբյուր», առաջին մանկական պատկերազարդ ամսագիրը Արևելյան Հայաստանում։ Լույս է տեսել Թիֆլիսում 1883–1918 թվականներին, հրապարակախոս–մանկագիր Տիգրան Նազարյանի խմբագրությամբ։

Ամսագիրը ձգտել է մանուկների մեջ արթնացնել պատվասիրություն, սեր դեպի մարդը, վսեմն ու ազնիվը։ Տպագրել է գրական–գեղարվեստական, բնագիտական, աշխարհագրական նյութեր, կենսագրական ակնարկներ նշանավոր մարդկանց մասին, նաև թարգմանություններ Անդերսենի, Հոֆմանի, Հյուգոյի, Գյոթեի, Պուշկինի, Տուրգենևի, Նեկրասովի և այլ գրողների մանկական երկերից։

Մեծ տեղ է տվել ժողովրդական բանահյուսությանը։ Ունեցել է ոչ պարբերաբար լույս տեսնող երկրորդ բաժին, որտեղ տպագրվել են մանկավարժական տեսական հոդվածներ, ուսումնասիրություններ, խորհուրդներ ծնողներին և դաստիարակներին։

Իբրև «Աղբյուրի» հավելված հրատարակվել են ժողովածուներ, գրքույկներ, նկարներ, «Մանկական աշխարհ» պարբերաթերթը՝ երեխաների գրվածքներով և թարգմանական նյութերով։
